ABOUT

RESEARCH INTEREST

RSV / Influenza/SARS-CoV-2 Vaccines, Immunity, Inflammation & Pathogenesis

Our research interests are to design and develop effective vaccines against viral respiratory diseases (respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, and SARS-Cov2 ets.), to better understand vaccine-induced protective immune mechanisms, to study pathogen-induced inflammation, and to develop anti-inflammatory treatments.

Developent of safe and  cost-effective therapeutic cancer vaccine

Therapeutic cancer vaccines constitute a valuable tool to educate the immune system to combat tumors and reduce cancer recurrence. However, the current availability of cancer vaccines in medical practice is extremely limited, underscoring the necessity for continued technological advancements in this field. Personalized cancer vaccines can trigger a broad-based antitumor response and long-term immunological memory. Our research aims to establish a personalized vaccination system that controls antigen expression and immune modulation to achieve greater efficacy. This entails precisely tuning and regulating the immune response to specific antigens for each individual.

Biocompatible mucosal vaccine delivery system

While most commercial vaccines are currently administered through systemic needle injection, there is growing interest in intra-nasal or oral vaccine delivery due to its potential to trigger mucosal immune responses, ease of use, and enhanced safety profile.  Our research goal is to develop a safe mucosal delivery system using biocompatible materials.
